As it stands pork carnitas are the holy grail of Mexican tacos. While there have been countless renditions of the taco throughout time none have held more merit than the Almighty carnitas taco. Therefore we felt it was only right that we finally pay homage to this wonderful concoction of savory, crunchy and juicy pork. While the details may make it seem a little more daunting than it really is, pulling off a great carnitas taco is well within reach of any level home chef.
Street tacos are something much more epic than just a late night meal option. To start, the tortilla represents a canvas of endless possibilities. Smoked Pork Belly is like the pinnacle of all things smoked. Natural smoke flavor, a penetrating rub and of course the truly authentic flavor of bacon all combine to make smoked pork belly about the most divine eating experience one could possibly enjoy. What was once regarded as a delicate piece of meat has stood the test of time to become a BBQ staple that is damn good regardless of how you slice it. I mean that in both the literal and figurative sense.
If you haven’t heard by now, fusion food is the thing of the now! It seems like everytime I turn on the Cooking Channel I come across more and more scenarios where folks are blending the best of several different corners of the world. In my own personal opinion the culmination of fusion food occurs whenever you combine the most basic of authentic Mexican cuisine with the sweet characteristics of authentic Korean fare. To claim that Korean BBQ tacos are not some of the best edible things in the world would be a million miles from the truth!
Visit just about any coastal town across the U.S. and you’ll quickly come to understand just how much of a delicacy that battered fish tacos really are. As mundane as Tacos appear to be, there just seems to be an ever apparent infatuation with the traditionally Mexican delight. Though Tacos used to be regarded as a Mexican staple they are now an easy to infuse international culinary treat of pure genius. Most will agree that San Diego is the land of fish tacos. I, myself can attest to that sentiment as I’ve had more than my fair share of life changing fish tacos from the SoCal foodie paradise. Here in Kentucky the love for fish tacos isn’t as prevalent but if I have anything to do with it these delicious entrees will be a staple in the coming years. I must admit that I haven’t had much experience eating or cooking beef short ribs. Nonetheless any cut of meat with the rib label must be regarded as top quality.
